Artist Kelly Gravel, know as ‘Risky’ gets ready to put the finishing coat of paint on a biulding in the art distric in Los Angeles Calif., Dec. 29, 2011. Gravel spent over three days painting the wall as part of the L.A. Mural Project. On Monday, December 19, 2011, Puna Kihoi spends quality time with her eight-year-old granddaughter Tahlia Kihoi-Low near Keaahou, Hawaii. Having been her legal guardian for five years, Kihoi schools her granddaughter in traditional Hawaiian ways to help her preserve and appreciate her culture.
