HOW TO BECOME AN OFFICER
Brooks NPPA Officer Eligibility
Qualifications:
• Must not graduate during the term you are in office
• Must be a paid NPPA member by the time you take office
• You can run for office as early as your first session
Election Season:
A new term for Brooks NPPA officers starts every 3 sessions/6 months. During week 3 of the May/June and Nov/Dec sessions there is a mandatory meeting that all potential officer candidates are required to attend. At this meeting you must have a paid NPPA member nominate you for a position (of course, feel free to ask any paid member to nominate you) then you must agree on the position. Once it has been seconded and accepted then you are on the official ballet.
The Campaign Trail:
Once you are on the official ballot, you can run a (clean) campaign and post flyers to your heart's content. Voting happens week 6, and those elected take office at the start of the next session.
